The saw has multiple separately driven saw engines (1) in the form of narrow disk engines, horizontally adjustable on linear units. Adjustment of each sawing engine is accomplished separately by individual linear motors (5). Fixing of the sawing engine takes place in a horizontal direction in a sawing position through an additional separate clamping device (6). The clamping device fixes a sawing device with the linear motors in the sawing position. The sawing engines have rotor disks, which are provided with permanent magnets (10) and saw blades (7).
