The device has a pane (2) of a door (1) guided to a defined path of a guide rail (15). The pane is rotated around its normal during a translatory lowering process in the door on the guide rail. A lower edge of another pane (2``) exhibits an angle of inclination of approximately 10 to 30 degrees to the upper edge of another door (1`) during complete lowering of the former door. The lower edge of the latter pane lies above a door lock (16) during complete lowering of the former door.
