The air inversion and steam cure apparatus (11) has a rigid container, to allow the impregnated cured in place liner (27) to pass through. A compressible material is placed on both sides of the elongated slot opening in the container. The gap (26) across the slot opening, is adjustable in a direction perpendicular to the liner as it travels through the slot opening into the container and inverted out the inversion boot (16). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) existing pipeline lining method; and (2) porting assembly.
