The cover has a cap (1) to cover an air bag collision cushion and including predetermined breaking points (3) at which the cap breaks during release of an airbag and ensures exit of the cushion. A visible covering (2) covers the cap and has cuts (4) in the rear side, and the cut is directed perpendicular to the surface and has a depth smaller than the thickness of the covering. The covering is attached on the cap in a precisely fitting manner in such a way that the cuts run along a dividing line over a part of the points, and the points are formed as slots in the cap.
