PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging raw material, etc., by which the separation of metal and slag is surely performed by quickly melting reduced product developed on a hearth and the discharging thereof to the outside of the furnace can separately and easily performed.;SOLUTION: When the raw material, etc., are charged to the movable hearth in the movable type hearth furnace, firstly, carbonaceous material is charged onto the movable hearth to form a carbonaceous material layer. Successively, the mixture of the above raw material and the carbonaceous material is charged onto the upper layer of this carbonaceous material layer to form a mixture layer, and thereafter, plural recessed parts reading to the carbonaceous material layer, are formed by pushing down a projection from the upper part of the mixture layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
