PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of ejecting ink stably while reducing the packaging cost of an ink package, and to provide a method for introducing ink to the ink jet recorder.;SOLUTION: A starting ink package is contained in a packing bag 4 reduced in pressure below the atmospheric pressure and a replacing ink package is contained in a packing bag not reduced in pressure. Degradation in the degree of deaeration of ink contained in the starting ink package is thereby suppressed as compared with ink contained in the replacing ink package. The degree of deaeration of ink has a significant effect on the ink ejection performance when ink is introduced initially into a not-yet-used ink jet head. When starting ink package is packaged to prevent degradation in the degree of deaeration of ink, ink can be ejected stably.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
