A pouch (2), forming part of a perfusion system (1) and designed to contain a fluid, comprising an outer envelope with an inner compartment (4) and two orifices (7, 8) connected by a loop (10) in the form of a tube (11) that permits its contents to be sampled as they pass in a continuous flow through it, is new. A pouch (2), forming part of a perfusion system (1) and designed to contain a fluid, comprises an outer envelope with an inner compartment (4) and two orifices (7, 8) connected by a loop (10) in the form of a tube (11) that permits its contents to be sampled as they pass in a continuous flow through it. The loop tube has a supple portion that creates a flow inside it when it is subjected to a series of pressure and relaxation cycles, e.g. by a peristaltic pump. The pouch also has an identification system (14) for matching the fluid inside it with that in the loop tube and two additional orifices (5, 6) for extracting its contents and adding substances to it. After the loop has been filled it can be detached from the pouch for the purpose of analysis.
