The first pair of opposed jaws (5), is motorized directly or indirectly for traction along a first axis of deformation (40). The second pair of jaws (5) is similarly equipped for traction along a second axis of deformation (50) at right angles to the first. A first guidance and traction mechanism (10) constrains the second pair of jaws along a median axis between the first pair of jaws. A second guidance and traction mechanism (30) correlates the spacing (i.e. the separation) of the second pair of jaws as a function of the spacing of the first pair of jaws. The mechanical system, comprising rods, levers, linkages, sliders, actuation cylinders and pivots mounted on a rigid frame, is detailed.
