A device (d) is dedicated to the optimization of models of the configuration of cells of a radio communication network (rc). This optimization device (d) comprises processing means mt) charged (i) to analyze the configuration data which are representative of each model used to configure each cell of the network and possible (s) value (s) of the exception of the parameter (s) of the associated configuration (s), in order to determine the analysis data that are representative, for each model, its use in combination with a value of the exception of at least one parameter of configuration, and ii) to compare the analysis data to the rules which describe the optimization of the models according to the level of use in combination with at least a value of the exception of at least one parameter of configuration, in order to determine the optimization of the model (s)).
