Preparing exfoliated active ingredient comprising solubilization of nopal flowers in an aqueous solution, enzymatic hydrolyses successively or simultaneously, separating soluble and insoluble phases, successive concentrations of the active fraction and sterilized filtration, is new. ACTIVITY : Dermatological. No biological data given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Cathespine-D activitor; Stratum corneum chymotryptic protease enzyme stimulator; Stratum corneum tryptic protease enzyme stimulator. The ability of the exfoliated active ingredient to stimulate the cathepine-D synthesis was tested in vitro. The results showed that the active ingredient exhibited 121% stimulation of cathepine-D synthesis at 0.5%.
