The method involves temporarily configuring, in a configuration phase, an output terminal (7) of peripheral devices (2, 3) in a mode of reading of the voltage present on the terminal to select an address among two addresses within the devices. A default address is selected if, during the configuration phase, the voltage on the terminal is lower than a given threshold. Another address is selected if the voltage is greater than the threshold during the configuration phase. An independent claim is also included for a system for sharing an I2c bus connecting a device between two secondary devices.
