The system has actuators driving braking spades articulated around an axle. An elastic coupling unit ensures angular displacement of the spades towards front and rear around the axle and is constituted of rubber blocks (32) prestressed between four lower corners of a square tube (31) and four external faces of a square tube (34). The tubes are disposed coaxially with respect to each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a snowmobile-type vehicle including a braking system (2) a sledge-type vehicle hitched with a snowmobile-type vehicle and including a braking system.
