The assembly has a bar (9) comprising a cross piece (6) and a handle (13) that is rotatively mounted on the cross piece that comprises a lower hook (10). The distance between the lower hook and an axis of rotation of the handle on the cross piece is equal to the distance between the upper and lower rails (2, 3) of a hand rail. The handle is movable between perpendicular and inclined positions, where the handle is perpendicular to the cross piece and the hook is engaged on the lower rail (3), in the perpendicular position. The hook is disengaged from the rail (3), in the inclined position.
