The device has an assembly comprising a parallelepiped cage (2) that is closed on upper and lower sides and delimited by a pair of roller plates. The cage is mounted tilting around a horizontal axis (10). A feed table and a delivery table are arranged for providing a free space above them for the removal of a cheese mold follower and for the removal of a mold containing cheese. The cage is tilted for rotating the mold containing the cheese, to 180 degrees, after the removal of the mold follower. An independent claim is also included for a method for turning out a pressed cheese implementing a large cheese turning out device.
