The device has a curved transparent plate (10), constituted of a sheet of flexible synthetic material, and two lateral supports, each including an axial groove (2) opened at one end and at an inclined outer edge (3). The groove`s inner edge has inner retaining fasteners (7), facing the edge (3), and outer retaining fasteners (8). The plate is curvedly maintained by clamping its opposite edges between the edge (3) and the fasteners (7). The inclination of the edge (3) determines the curve of the plate. A document is curvedly retained by clamping against the plate and the fasteners (8).
