The system has a central processing unit electrically connected to a rotative control switch unit (30). A transmission comprises a gear shifting toothed wheel and a drive unit, where the drive unit drives the toothed wheel based on a control signal coming from the central processing unit, to perform a gear shift. The processing unit transmits the control signal so that the transmission makes the toothed wheel to execute a gear shift upon a rotation of the switch unit for reversing the movement of a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle shifting system comprising a shifting control unit.
