The hood has a semi-spherical cover opened towards the bottom and receiving tobacco smoke suspended towards a ceiling by a hollow telescopic tube that is connected to a suction turbine through a network of tubes. The suction turbine extracts and rejects polluted air directly outside a building. The turbine is controlled either by a classical switch or a remote control, or by an automatic switch triggered by the descent of the cover.
