The method involves measuring an orientation of a videoconferencing mobile terminal with two dimensions in a space connected to the ground, where the orientation of the terminal is measured by measuring a rotation angle of the terminal. The position of a target zone in an image filmed by the camera is determined. The displacement of the line of sight of a camera is automatically controlled according to the measured orientation and position of the target zone. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a videoconferencing system comprising a device for controlling a displacement of the line of sight of a camera (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for executing a camera`s line of sight displacement controlling method.
