The method involves stringing a series of package (1) on a guiding rod (6) for obtaining a grouped package row (7), before delivery where the row has gripping perforations (4) situated in an alignment. The row is delivered to a shop and transferred toward a retail display space. The rod is gripped and the alignments of the perforations are positioned with respect to an associated blade. The row is displaced by sliding along the blade so that the blade is inserted in the alignment, and the rod is cleared. An independent claim is also included for a grouped row of package.
