The device has a fixation hook (14) cooperating with an orifice (28) of a support (12) and including a hollow body (30) presenting two opposite walls (34) with respect to a median plane of the hook. Each wall comprises a stop (36), at its outer surface, presenting a slope (37) and cooperating with an internal edge (46) of the orifice for maintaining a part of a fitting-up unit on the support and providing a clearance between an edge (52) of the orifice and the wall. The fitting-up unit is supported against an external surface (23) of the support. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a fitting-up unit on a support.
