The system has a laser source connected to an assembly of coils (BX, BY, BZ), which are positioned such that axes of the coils correspond to the directions (X, Y, Z) of a Cartesian trihedral, respectively. Commutation circuits (4, 5) are provided for successively switching the outputs of a directional coupler to the coils in a cyclic manner. The commutation circuits are controlled using control signals (S2, S3) produced periodically by a signal control and synchronization circuit.
