The device has a hook (A) made of semi rigid material and whose exterior edge is spring against a part (A`) surrounding an enclosure (E). A strap (C) of variable length is fixed on a rivet (B), where the rivet is fixed around the hook. A male Velcro (RTM) piece (D) is fixed on the strap at desired height and a female Velcro (RTM) piece (D`) is fixed on the strap at remote location. The female Velcro (RTM) piece is fixed on the male Velcro (RTM) piece when the strap encloses the fishing rod such that a fishing rod is maintained in vertical position in the enclosure.
