The device has a transmission control unit integrating peripheral component interconnect express interfaces and controlling data transfer between a memory such as a memory unit and a destination device such as a chipset or a memory e.g. hard disk. The control unit verifies a condition of data reception during the transfer and temporarily stores the data required for starting a computer in the former memory if the destination device is occupied or does not provide a sufficient reception speed. An emergency power supply provides electricity to the former memory when the computer is turned off. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data transmission method (2) a method for the rapid starting of a computer system.
