The method involves sterilizing a contact surface of a biomedical device using a gaseous mixture. The device thus sterilized is subjected to pretreatment of surface using non-oxidant plasma obtained using azote/argon mixture. A polymer layer is deposited in plasma maintained in the argon as plasmagene gas and carrier. The device is restored and subjected to less aggressive sterilization plasma obtained with argon and oxygen mixture, for 1 to 10 minutes.
