The interface (30) has a data terminal (A) adapted to transmit a data signal (PCMTx) and another data terminal (B) adapted to receive a data signal (PCMRx) in one operation mode. The terminal (A) is adapted to receive the signal (PCMRx) and the terminal (B) is adapted to transmit the signal (PCMTx). The terminals are configurable with sufficient agility for passing from one mode to another mode or reciprocally, from one time interval to another. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electronic device comprising an interface (2) an electronic system comprising a set of electronic devices (3) a portable telephone comprising an electronic system (4) a method for communicating data in duplex mode.
