Cognitive/attentive/perceptive process investigating method for use during e.g. browsing Internet page, involves detecting ocular fixations in record, and deducing data on cognitive processes of individual from fixations and potentials

The method involves presenting a set of visual elements e.g. film, to an individual and storing eye movements of the individual in a record. The visual elements are word pairs comprising two words. Cerebral electric potentials (EEG) of the individual are stored in a manner concurrent to the storage of the eye movements. Ocular fixations are detected in the eye movement record. The cerebral electric potentials are sampled based on the detected ocular fixations. Data on cognitive processes of the individual are deducted from the ocular fixations and the sampled potentials. An independent claim is also included for a system for investigation of cognitive processes.
