The device has a particle filter (3), and a catalytic converter (2) with a support (4) for nitrogen oxide (NOx) trap and a support (5) for an oxidation catalyst. The oxidation catalyst is located in the downstream of the trap. The support (5) is impregnated with a catalytic impregnation, acting as a NOx trap, that favors the oxidation of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide contents in the exhaust gas of a heat engine. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a heat engine exhaust gas treating device.
