The muzzle (10) has a mask (11) presenting a wide-mouthed shape and covering nasal and oral orifices of an animal. A girth (13) surrounds the neck of the animal in rear of ears of the animal, and four straps (12, 14-16) made of braided synthetic fibers connect the mask to the girth. The mask presents a depth lesser than or equal to diameter of an edge (22) delimiting an opening of the mask. The mask presents a large density of openings (20) and a conical form.
