The assembly has a container (2) containing a cosmetic composition to be applied, where the composition includes a magnetic body. A magnetic device (7) has a permanent magnet integrated to a prehension unit of an applicator (3) and permits to realize a decoration on a composition layer applied on a keratin material e.g. nail, by exposing the composition to a magnetic field. The device has a support in which the magnet is positioned and permits to realize an information (11) representative of the decoration, where the information is situated on the container, the device and an applicator. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a magnetic device permitting to realize a decoration on a finger nail (2) a method for forming a decoration on a finger nail (3) a method for fabricating a magnetic device.
