Volumetric, multi-cut and multi-source stereo-tomodensitometric imaging device for e.g. inspecting aircraft fuselage, has semiconductor and/or superconductor bi-dimensional detectors that are associated to form matrices of raw image data
The device has semiconductor and/or superconductor bi-dimensional detectors (19) adapted to receive rays after traversing an object. The detectors are associated into an assembly at an X-ray tube in order to simultaneously form several bi-dimensional matrices of raw image data. The formed matrices are stored in digital form authorizing the display on the screen as well as the three dimensional treatment of the image and two dimensional treatment in different planes of the four dimensional space of new universal set of spatiotemporal distribution. An independent claim is also included for an imaging method.
