Process for inhibition of fruit falling, particularly in apple trees and pear trees, comprises: preparing a solution and/or a suspension of 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyloxyacetic acid (I) or its alkyl ester or sa applying (I) on the fruit trees and harvesting the fruits; and harvesting the fruits in which the application is carried out with in 1-5 weeks before the first harvest date.
