The device has a vertically movable plate (12) placed for being lifted up above a cleaning tank (19). The plate extends in the form of a frame around a cleaning tank (19) so that the tank passes through an open center of the plate. A lifting unit (14) is detachably fixed on the plate for lifting a transport basket (20). A transport unit (16) is placed on opposite sides of the plate for transporting a processing object e.g. lens. The transport basket (20) comprising the object is placed on the plate and dips its positioning part in the tank, when the plate is lowered.
