The structure has a pneumatic and/or hydraulic breakwater device comprising a tube (3) fixed, close to a bottom (2-1), to piles (1-1) and a tube (4) fixed below water surface. The tubes are drilled with orifices along their length. The orifices constitute liquid or gaseous fluid projection nozzles for creating currents intersecting and/or opposed to propagation direction (D) of a heave (5) incident at the structure by diffusion of air barrier (6) and/or pressurized water jets (7). The tubes are connected to a sound proofed compressor and a pump, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for protection against a heave of a wharf structure.
