The structural element (E) has a body (E0) equipped of an articulation unit (2) of a bonnet. The unit is placed at the level of a wing of a vehicle and near a wall separating a cab interior of a compartment. The body has a boss (5) with an orifice in which an elastic element (51) made up of elastomer is partially inserted, where the boss is oriented towards interior of the compartment when the bonnet is closed. The elastic element and the boss form a stop during closing of a bonnet. A metallic rod (6) is maintained by an end (60) in a foot (8) with orifice (9) to pivot the end freely.
