The system has a display device (60) having a flat screen (600) e.g. liquid crystal display screen, and a support for the display device. The support forms a removable sleeve (61) for receiving the display device, where the sleeve is obtained as one piece by plastic injection. The screen comprises ballasted base (610) which maintains the screen in vertical position when the system is installed on a horizontal plane, where the parts of the base situated in front and behind walls (611) of the screen have a depth higher than 6 centimeters. An independent claim is also included for a sleeve for supporting a flat screen display device.
