The vehicle has a shift lever (42) located in a position of a steering wheel support shaft and connected to a propelling speed change device to operate the propelling speed change device. A lever guide guides a speed change lever, and has a set of fore and aft channels extending in the fore and aft directions of the vehicle. A communication channel extends between the fore and aft channels, where one of the fore and aft channels has a lever position corresponding to a forward travel position and another lever position corresponding to a reverse travel position.
