The device has a connection rod (2) mounted in translation on a slide (6) and supporting a male element e.g. bolt (1). A transforming unit (30) transforms the movements of the slide into movements of the rod such that, for a position (Pt2) of the rod, the male element penetrates into a female element e.g. strike plate, mounted on a stud (12), without being hooked to the female element. A control unit (40) controls the passage of the rod to a position (Pt3) such that the male element is hooked to or unhooked from the female element.
