The device has rods (35, 36) with serrated or ribbed parts attached to a bone by attaching units and mounted on a central adjustment device (300). The device (300) has a small hole (312) engaged with a small tool adjusting a distance separating the units. A mini-guard (410) allows the translation of the rods in a growth direction by the placement of the tool in a toothed wheel (311), an anti-return ratchet (37) and an elastomeric block (373) located in a rigid piece (374). The rigid piece permits, by compression of the block, the disengagement, tensioning and locking of the controlling device.
