The engine assembly (10), comprising an internal combustion engine (12) with a compressor (14), an exhaust gas depollution unit (30) and an EGR circuit (32), has a Y-shaped connector (40) between the EGR pipe (36), the downstream end (24C) of the exhaust pipe and the outlet (OS) of the depollution unit. The connector has a lower branch (42) for stabilising exhaust gases with its inlet end connected to the depollution unit outlet and its outlets (44, 46) connected respectively to the upper branch (44) of the EGR pipe and the downstream end of the exhaust pipe.
