The printer has an ink cartridge, a stylus, and a paper roll on which the content of a short messaging service (SMS) is printed. An infrared port and Bluetooth input are provided for two modes of communication with a portable telephone. A print order received from the telephone via the port or input is interpreted. A flange permits the cutting of the printed paper.
