The method involves qualifying and quantifying unique and unpredictable random characteristics which are non-consistently reproducible. The characteristics depend on variability of a structure, composition of a physical medium and fluctuations of a reproduction device. The characteristics are extracted and processed from a digitized input of graphics or images. The images are defined by pixels coded in multilevel of gray or colors.
