The assembly (1) has a movable slide (2) mounted in translation on a fixed slide (3). A seat has a base structure (4) and a backrest structure (5) activable between a folded up and folded down positions. The slide (2) is provided with a locking unit. A slide locking/unlocking unit (17) has a cam cooperated with a cam follower integrated to the locking unit so as to set the locking unit in locking position when the backrest is folded up, unlock the locking unit in intermediate folded down position and set again the locking unit in locking position when the backrest is folded down.
