The method involves determining a weighting factor for each audio segment of a class to which an audio segment to be tested belongs. The factor represents an intraclass similarity measurement between representations of the segment to be tested and the segment. The determined factor is attributed to a basic measurement of similarity of the relating segment. A measurement of similarity is obtained from the weighted basic measurements. The intraclass measurement is obtained by applying a similarity measurement calculation function different from that utilized for basic measurement calculation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a reference speaker tracking method (2) a similarity measurement calculating device (3) a reference speaker tracking device comprising the similarity measurement calculating device (4) a computer program comprising program instructions adapted to the implementation of a similarity measurement calculating method.
