The cover (8) is deployed from a stowage compartment in front of the open-topped bin by an articulated mechanism (3) that is stowed beneath the bin when not in use. The deployment mechanism has a transverse bar with a hook on the end of its articulated arms (15, 16) to engage with a fastening on the end of the cover. Once the fastening has been attached to the rear of the bin the arms can be retracted and stowed until the cover needs to be removed.
