The seat track has a profile fixed to a floor pan of a motor vehicle and a movable profile mounted slidingly relative to the fixed profile along a sliding direction. An intermediate unit (17) is mounted slidingly in the sliding direction with respect to the profiles. Two locking mechanisms lock the intermediate unit with movable and fixed profiles using respective lock pins (24, 33), openings (23, 32) and springs. The locking mechanisms prevent relative displacement of the movable and fixed profiles in the sliding direction in the locked state.
