The unit (10) has a diode and a pre-charging resistor pre-charging a secondary energy storage element (U cap) e.g. super-capacitor, where the unit is intended to electrically connect a secondary network (R s) with the secondary energy storage element when a motor vehicle is in a parking mode. A main energy storage element (B p) e.g. battery, and the secondary energy storage element are intended to supply a main network (R p) and the secondary network, respectively. The super-capacitor supplies controllers of the motor vehicle and a security code of a car starter.
