The device has a void (12) delimited by internal, external, upper and lower walls (14, 16, 15, 17), and a concrete slab (10) equipped with a metallic bar (20). The metallic bar crosses the internal walls (14) and external walls (16) of the void. The upper wall is provided with openings (22) through which the metallic bars are accessed from the top of the concrete slab. A gripping hook is inserted under the metallic bars through the openings. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for fabricating a hollow slab (2) a lifting unit for a hollow slab.
