Safety cutter has spiral cutting knife with a center pin on a synthetic body. Knife body is snapped into position in a rail-like frame. It has a traversing half-blade fixed by rivets. User moves the pushing member (1) along with the casing towards the knife body. Pushing member has a shaft (5) with an end with spikes (11). It has a cap-like circular structure that cooperates with a sliding circular casing. Casing receives the vegetables to be cut. Its movement can be locked by locking studs snapping into notches provided by guiding rails of the frame. Knife blade is now safely hidden.
