The method involves generating an executable file comprising an encrypted digital datastream, a decrypted unit for the datastream, a digital datastream reading unit, and an identifier of a machine on which the datastream is intended to be played. The file is executed for restoring the digital datastream in positive comparison between the identifier of the machine on which the digital datastream is intended to be played and a machine of the user. An independent claim is also included for a file for restoring digital datastream intended to be played on a machine of a user.
