The system has lighting control units or terminals (10, 12) connected to respective lighting elements or strip lights composed of electroluminescent diodes and integrated to signing panels (14, 16, 18). The units or terminals are programmed via respective chip cards (20, 22). A user enters a lighting control program of the panels by using a keyboard after introducing each chip card into a chip card connector (24) connected to a computer (26), where the program is automatically stored in the chip card.
